Eclectic Waves (Ambient Trance)

"Eclectic Waves" is an ambient progressive trance track produced with the assistance of the generative AI system Udio.com. The track is relatively dense, primarily as a result of my personal taste in music.

When people think about AI music, they usually associate it with the idea of inputting a prompt and getting a full track in return. While this is certainly possible and done by many, it is also the most boring way to work with this new technology. This is why I prefer working with Udio's 32-second model. It requires you to iterate and make creative choices, not unlike in a traditional production environment.

For this track, I needed a little over 100 iterations to get it where I wanted. Sometimes these iterations consisted of in-painting larger parts of the track; sometimes it was only a fraction of a second that needed to be in-painted.
