Let’s Talk About Suno.ai!

In this episode of Spatial Audio Monthly, Same Hocking and I explore the rapidly advancing field of AI-generated music. Using the AI tool Suno.ai, we experiment with creating songs based on various prompts, including an anthem for digital media students at Drexel University and a theme song for their own podcast. The results are impressive, with Suno generating catchy tunes in a variety of styles, from electronic pop to country to hip-hop.

Throughout the episode, we discuss the implications of AI-generated music for the industry and the role of human artists in the future. We emphasize the importance of artists developing the skills to refine and enhance AI-generated content, as well as the potential for AI to serve as a powerful tool and source of inspiration. We also delve into the technical aspects of AI music generation, including stem separation and the challenges of demixing AI-generated tracks.
