Fiedler Audio Gravitas Review

In this video, we explore Fiedler Audio's new plugin, Gravitas, which offers a unique approach to dynamics processing, particularly for multichannel audio and Dolby Atmos. We begin by examining Gravitas in a regular stereo project, discussing its three-module layout, various parameters, and the ability to link instances across tracks. Gravitas provides extensive control over input selection, detection, and processing, making it a versatile tool for creative dynamics processing.

The video then dives into using Gravitas as a master bus insert within the Dolby Atmos Composer, demonstrating its true potential for spatial audio. We explore how to set up sidechaining in a Dolby Atmos project, driving the compression of the pad with the kick signal, and processing both objects and beds. Additionally, we incorporate the Spacelab reverb to create a multichannel reverb and sidechain it with the dry signal using Gravitas. This showcases the unique capabilities of Gravitas in conjunction with the Dolby Atmos Composer, offering a powerful toolset for immersive audio production.
