How to Use the WavesNX Head Tracker with Dolby Atmos - Finally Made Simple!

In this video, I demonstrate how to use the WavesNX Head Tracker with the Dolby Atmos renderer using the latest version of NXOSC (v1.0.5). The new update now allows users to specify which port the software sends OSC messages to, eliminating the need for the complex workarounds I showed in previous videos. This is particularly useful when dealing with the port conflict between NXOSC and the Dolby Atmos renderer, which both previously used the fixed port 8000.

I walk you through the entire setup process, including downloading NXOSC, adjusting Mac security settings to run the application, changing the OSC port from 8000 to 8001, and using OSCII-bot as a translation software to convert the OSC messages into a format that the Dolby Atmos renderer can understand. This method allows you to take full advantage of the native head tracking capabilities in the Dolby Atmos renderer using the WavesNX hardware without any complex hacks or binary modifications.
