Let's Create a Dolby Atmos Maschine

In this video, we explore the possibility of producing Dolby Atmos within the Native Instruments Maschine ecosystem. We discover that not only is it possible, but it's also surprisingly easy to set up and doesn't require any additional costs. By utilizing the Fiedler Audio Dolby Atmos Composer plugin, which is available in both a free and paid version, we can route sounds from Maschine into a Dolby Atmos project. The video demonstrates how to set up the Dolby Atmos Composer and Dolby Atmos Beam plugins within Maschine, as well as how to manipulate the position, size, and other parameters of individual sounds to create an immersive Dolby Atmos mix.

The video also covers more advanced topics, such as exporting a Dolby Atmos master file and monitoring the Dolby Atmos mix in a multichannel studio setup. By using a binaural renderer like Virtuoso, it's possible to create a virtual multichannel output for monitoring purposes, even if you only have a stereo setup. Overall, the video showcases the convenience and flexibility of integrating Dolby Atmos production into a Maschine workflow, making it an exciting option for producers and live performers looking to explore the world of immersive audio.
